Face to Face Counselling
I am currently not able to accept any new clients
I offer counselling sessions for adults and young people. A session normally lasts for one hour.
I have experience counselling people with a range of issues, including those that you can see to the left. I choose not to identify any specific areas of counselling specialisation since I prefer to work with people in a way that does not categorise them in a particular box.
While I recognise that people living with something labelled depression may have similarities in their experience, I believe that each person's experience is unique to them and I am interested in trying to understand in detail what things are like for that particular person, including the effect that any label has had on them. I have found that people tell me labels can be helpful or unhelpful, or both at once - or perhaps that they have no effect.
If you feel that it would be more helpful for you to work with a counsellor who specialises in one particular area, here are some counselling organisations you might find helpful. Or your GP may be able to give you a referral.
